Thank you for looking.
One last request: it may be under the rubrique "Tianjin Heart Dripping pills"
OntarioBoy 03:09, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
@Ontarioboy: no, sorry, nothing under that either. I have also tried a scan of user talk pages in the hope that if an article had been deleted its author might have been sent a notice, but no result. Something similar seems to be mentioned under "Uses" at Salvia miltiorrhiza, but that's the only trace I can find. Curiosity about what a "dripping pill" might be sent me here - you learn something new every day! JohnCD (talk) 13:38, 11 May 2015 (UTC)
Inappropriate edits in good faith
Hi JohnCD, if you have time, could you take a quick look at Vgenapl (talk·contribs). This user's behavior look like before last month blocked user SPIKE SPIKE BAD (talk·contribs). Too many warnings have been given by Admins but he/she is not learning anything. here & here.
@Babitaarora:. Not sure. There do seem to be similarities. I will ping DoRD to see whether he thinks it would be worth adding this one to the SPIKE SPI, or whether he thinks a checkuser would be justified. JohnCD (talk) 21:34, 14 May 2015 (UTC)
It appears I am caught in a vicious catch 22. As a yearly donator to Wiki, I have found Wiki to be a good source of free and open information. The multi-million dollar book distributors seem to have created a stranglehold on independent authors, and needing them to verify information seems counter-intuitive. One of the great things about the internet, and about Wiki especially is that it allows us, the people, to put information out there without needing the mass media to filter it.
The Poetry Trilogy IS the largest collection of poetry ever published by a single author. There is only ONE other poetry book that even comes close, it was written by a guy in Idaho but there is only ONE copy available. IT was never published or distributed.
Please Help John. I am a good Brother in need of real assistance and you obviously have more knowledge in this field than I do. Please Help.
There seems to be something somewhat unjust and slightly off here... How can there be articles about just about everything on the planet, but a poetry compilation containing 300,000 words and 2400 pages, with subjects as diverse as God and Death can be blocked in a open source platform... Seriously brother. Does this seem morally right? Have you even looked at the content of the books?
@AaronLA2012: Wikipedia doesn't have articles about everything on the planet, and it doesn't ask "Is this subject good or important?" It asks the more objective question: "Is there evidence that people not connected with this subject have thought it important or significant enough to write substantial content about?" An encyclopedia's job is not to help announce new things, but to summarize what other people have written about established things. JohnCD (talk) 10:27, 15 May 2015 (UTC)
Ah ok... Still sounds a bit suppressive... But again, I'm not an expert here, I'm just a wiki donor and human being. You would know better than I would I suppose. It's just frustrating because an amazing literary work has been created, a beacon of light in a world of darkness, and it just gets shot down instantly here on Wikipedia... I understand the reasoning, and I am not mad or upset, I'm just sad and disheartened...
I do thank you for taking the time to answer my question and clarifying it to the best of your ability... SO basically someone has to publish an article about The Poetry Trilogy, and someone else has to write about The Poetry Trilogy on Wiki... Well, I suppose ever great work of any sort always had it's nay-sayers in the beginning :-) Again, thanks for the info John, it honestly is appreciated. On May 1 you deleted the page for John Thomas sign because it was suspected to be a hoax. I just wanted to let you know that while it is silly and humorous, it is not a hoax. I'm in the medical field and and it's something that medical professionals will often note as a humorous aside when looking at x-rays, which was noted in the article. It's more of a colloquial expression within medicine. I think a relatively common colloquial expression is fair game for a wikipedia article! If you agree, then you should undelete the page :-). Thanks!
Since this was deleted by the WP:Proposed deletion process, I have restored it at your request; but I shall notify user Jdcrutch (talk) who proposed it, and who may choose to nominate it at WP:Articles for deletion, which would start a debate lasting seven days, to which you would be welcome to contribute. If the article is to be kept, it needs much better references to show that this term is widely used - see WP:NEO. Only one of the references actually shows the term. I am not sure that one is a reliable source, and certainly it is not enough on its own. JohnCD (talk) 10:36, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
Correction - one of the other references had a mistyped URL, but was not actually a deadlink. More references would still be useful to meet WP:NEO. JohnCD (talk) 10:46, 4 June 2015 (UTC)
Please help... made mistake and want to fix it... Please Help
Good Day...
I created an account and cofirmed the e-mail address : <email redacted>
I posted an article regarding the Senatorial campaign for Dr, Akinyemi Agbede wihich your monitors "JohnCD" said was spammish ... this was my mistake... I tried to communicate to this JohnCD to find out a way to solve this...
He ended up blocking my e-mailaddress and my IP address as well...
I did get a communication before he blocked me asking for a remedy to this situation as follows...
My mistake... I would like to fix this... possibly 2 options;
1) unblock my e-mail and IP and allow me to change the title of the article from "Dr. Akinyemi Agbede For Cal. Senator 2016" which covers his run for senator... to "Dr. Akinyemi Agbede, Bio" and change the contents to his bio info...
(You can see below the article has been0 removed, the user,me, is blocked
2) unblock my e-mail and IP and allow me to create a new Bio article about Dr. Akinyemi Agbede which will not cover his political campaign... just his bio...
Please help and please advise...
Thanks you, Most Sincerely...
Chris Uhland
<telephone and email redacted>
Your "User:Dr. Akinyemi Agbede For Cal. Senator 2016" account will not be unblocked, but you may set up a new account. The username may be based on your own name, or not, as you wish (see WP:REALNAME for some considerations), but it must not be the name of any group or organization or of Dr Agbede or any other living person.
First and foremost you must understand that if what you want to do is to help Dr Agbede get elected, you are in the wrong place. You cannot do that here. Wikipedia is absolutely not for election campaign statements or for promotion of any kind, political or otherwise: Wikipedia:Neutral point of view is a fundamental policy. The second page you wrote, supposed to be a bio of Dr Agbede, referred to him as "This Super Genius Man" and mostly consisted of an election address: "My legislative issues... " etc. Anything like that will be deleted at sight.
If you still want to proceed, and you set up a new account, send me a message from it and I will give you more advice.
I have removed your email addresses and telephone numbers - it is unwise to post them here because spambots crawl this site and you will get many unwanted messages. JohnCD (talk) 21:15, 8 June 2015 (UTC)
I just saw that when I zapped his user page and went to add it myself. You are very welcome, and I am indeed flattered. It needs some tweaking for particular cases (e.g. add reference to WP:YOUNG if the user is a child) but I see you are doing that. Cheers, JohnCD (talk) 20:52, 9 June 2015 (UTC)
How to know who is in the community ?
Hi ! Please guide me to know that, what is community definition ? and some how to be a community member ? and what is the core community ? what are the parameters for core community members ?
@NehalDaveND: see Wikipedia community and Wikipedia:Wikipedians. The community is all the contributors, so you are already a member of the community. The "core community" is more difficult to define - most people would use the term to mean contributors who are editing regularly and have been for some time, perhaps with an emphasis on those who also take part in the organization of the site, for instance by commenting at notice-boards and policy pages and deletion discussions; but there is no fixed definition. I'm afraid I can't comment on sa-wp because I know nothing about it. JohnCD (talk) 13:32, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
@Dgb536: my pleasure. I see that Kelapstick has not actually edited since, so he will not have had my ping, but I expect you will hear from him soon. JohnCD (talk) 13:37, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
Deletion Review
Concerning the G7 deletion of "Victor Romfors", the Admin Djsasso has an agenda against me, and has somehow (secretly and successfully) lobbied the Arb Board for an editing Ban which prevents me from editing any article which he has edited within the past 30 days. My queries to the Arb Board asking why this restriction has been imposed have gone unanswered, other that to confirm that such a ban has been placed. Their is no suggestion that editing his talk page would be an exception to this editing ban. As a result, I am effectively prevented from opening a Deletion Review, because I am unable to leave a message on his talk page. Given the editing restrictions I must work under, please advise on how to challenge this faulty G7 deletion. Dolovis (talk) 13:42, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
You didn't link to the restriction, and I don't see it here, but I can't believe it would prevent asking Djsasso about a speedy, or mandatory notifications like notice of DRV. In any case, REFUND is not a useful work-around, because Djsasso is going to get notified anyway - no admin would reverse his speedy without consulting him. In this case, I see he has commented, so you are free to go to DRV. JohnCD (talk) 20:48, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
I wasn't sure at first whether le ministre was the minister or the department, but my French dictionary (and Google) say that the department is le ministère, and the reference makes clear that he was actually The Man. JohnCD (talk) 14:03, 12 June 2015 (UTC)
Hard to translate into common law from civil law, and Madagascar is an odd mix of both having been both British and French in its past. Junior minister, possibly. But yes, very hard, that one. Si Trew (talk) 15:49, 12 June 2015 (UTC)
I have a similar problem with how to translate the legislative chamber of the parliament. In a common law system (US except Louisiana, UK, Canada, basically anywhere the British went) the Commons (House of Representatives) is the executive and the Lords (Senate?) is the revising chamber: but not sure quite how to translate that one. Not so much a revising chamber as I see it. Perhaps House of Lords (disambiguation) but really unsure on it. I'll need to check the main article on Madagascar I think and then revise. I am on me own cos we don't have a FR:WP one that I can refer to. (It should, if anything, have gone in FR:WP first, I think.) Si Trew (talk) 15:54, 12 June 2015 (UTC)
John, I've done the first rough translation and it is very rough, but I am aware at least according to the institute of which I made a mention that a lot of fibre optic was laid basically all down the west coast of africa, around cape horn, and up into madagascar to enable just this (and then the other end, from madagascar out again around india to japan and china etc). This was a huge project, and I should know cos at that time I worked for BICC in their cable division, and they were spinning the stuff - well before 2009 but it was on the cards then. Yet I can't find any good links for this enormous infrastructure project, but surely they should be some. We just went on codenames - not secrecy but you know, industrial jargon - so I have no idea how it was in "political" circles. I remember seeing the maps of the routes and all plumbed in to Madagascar. Their domestic backbone was, to be very blunt, just a little spin-off of that, kinda a concession to be granted wayleave. Thank you so much for getting back to me regarding Colm Keane (author). The information you provided has been most worthwhile and explanatory. I will address the issue of the photograph tomorrow, but in the meantime I hope you don't mind my asking you one more query, which is this... Is it the case that, without the termination of the boxer's page, the Colm Keane (author) page will inevitably only come up as a reference within the boxer's page on any internet search. Or are you suggesting that perhaps in a few days it should come up on its own merits as a separate document in a Google search? I can understand how things would change if the boxer's page is deleted, but would like to know what the situation is otherwise as there is no doubt that virtually nobody would find it otherwise. Appreciate your update on this, as indeed I appreciate the time and effort you have taken so far. Take care and many thanks.
@Anne O'Donnell: Google moves in mysterious ways its wonders to perform, and one can't predict with any certainty. I would expect that within a few days a search on "Colm Keane" would return the page "Colm Keane (author)" as well as the boxer's page, but I cannot be sure. If it doesn't, anyone looking for the author who clicks on the link "Colm Keane - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia" and is taken to the boxer's article will find there the hatnote, so that one more click will take them on to the right page.
The author is not doing badly with Google: I searched just now and the first nine links are all about him, with the boxer's Wikipedia page only coming in at #10. JohnCD (talk) 15:07, 13 June 2015 (UTC)
COLM KEANE
Hello again. Thanks for replying to my query once again. I suppose I'll just wait and see what happens re Google. It also seems to be a question of waiting to see what will happen in relation to the boxer article. Anyway, thanks again and all the best. Talk soon perhaps.

Wrong Deletion
Dear JohnCD,
Thank you for straight away deleting my page,(I am not happy with this though)
If things need to be reviewed let me know I would go ahead and edit the article, how can we straight away delete a page?
Since I am new in wikipedia, I do not have much knowledge in it, so it not your best thing if you guide someone?
Start at Wikipedia:Articles for creation and prepare a draft for review by an uninvolved user. Take care to keep a neutral tone - no puffery. This is not the company telling the world about itself.
When finished, don't choose the option to post the article directly (because of your COI); choose the option to submit it for review as a draft.
Hello,
the page i created previously of Disha Paul is a indian model and actress, she was also selected for Bigg Boss8 show. She is my favourite, it is sad that she don't have any identity in wikipedia, she has done couple of movies and album songs and tonnes of photoshoots. etc. I request to grant me permission to write about her here. thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dishapaul007 (talk • contribs) 13:20, 16 June 2015 (UTC)
Hi JohnCD,
I am new to Wikipedia. I updated some articles on Chakwal and created an article for Zafar Malik, who is a graphic designer in Chakwal, Pakistan. He has done a lot of work, which I was compiling in the article.
Zafar Malik has designed so many books in Urdu language, posters, adverts, etc. I will give/update all information about Zafar Malik. Furthermore, I will update info on Chakwal, Chakwal district, etc.

Hi, thanks for your response to my question about what happened to my User:GC2013/AV-101 to Draft:AV-101.
I am confused because I wanted to see what other pages were written by Medgirl131, but when I search for "User:Medgirl131" I get nothing, not even the article "4-Chlorokynurenine". Am I doing something wrong? Has this contributor authored other pages? I believe that my page is much more complete. If Medgirl131 does not contact me, what are my options for getting my article posted?
GC2013 (talk) 18:42, 16 June 2015 (UTC)
JohnCD, thanks very much for your recent response about the "problem". I will proceed slowly with the updates to this page and see what happens.
GC2013 (talk) 18:10, 17 June 2015 (UTC)
@GC2013: I would suggest also an email on the lines of your message on the article talk page, to open communications, because if I understand her practice right, it is to possibly read but not to respond to messages on talk pages. JohnCD (talk) 22:24, 17 June 2015 (UTC)
Hi, just a quick note to thank you for the help regarding the Colm Keane (author) piece I was in contact with you regarding last week. All has thankfully been resolved and I am grateful for your advice and contribution. Well done.
Anne O'Donnell (talk) 11:58, 20 June 2015 (UTC)
Thank you commenting, frankly I only signed up for Wiki to help edit a page's grammar and when my browser redirected me to a "User:CharlotteLindley" page, I didn't know what to do with it, so I went ahead and plugged in a resume I had lying around just to fill up the page.
@Kephir: it was a satirical page, tagged as "humour", with half a dozen bullet points like "It means we should ignore people and not try to help improve their competence" and "It means we should label people as incompetent". The author, Technical 13, evidently thought better of it because he requested its deletion, so I don't want to restore it, but you could ask him about it. JohnCD (talk) 20:07, 19 June 2015 (UTC)
Okay, thanks. I was just being curious. I already found Google's cached version anyway. — Keφr19:47, 21 June 2015 (UTC)
No. I have deleted the article, because the references did not confirm that the album is notable; the article about the composer was deleted because it also did not show that he was notable, and made false claims about millions of views, though his Youtube page shows only a few hundred. JohnCD (talk) 19:24, 22 June 2015 (UTC)
There has never been an article Jam mosaffa (album). When you give a page title, it needs to be exact, including capitals - best to copy-paste it if possible.
If you disagree with a speedy-deletion tag, what you should do is: click on the blue button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion", and explain your reasons on the article talk page. An administrator will read it before deciding what to do. Read WP:NALBUMS to understand what an album article needs, if it is to be kept. JohnCD (talk)
Hi JohnCD
I need some deleted pages that I want to put on the "deleted nonsense" page. Can you bring me back the source for articles like Project Shrine Maiden (deleted by Xezbeth in 2012/2013), Pichi no Shiro de Rokkuman to Pati (deleted in 2014 by Fram), Sonic CD: The Movie (deleted in August 2011), Japanese Ritual Day (deleted by Fram in 2014), and Cheerleaders (the one Black Kite deleted in 2014, when it got moved to her userspace.) If you DON'T, it's OK. Have a nice day! 67.82.89.253 (talk) 01:39, 23 June 2015 (UTC)
If by "deleted nonsense" page you mean the pages preserved under WP:List of hoaxes, those are only for hoaxes which were interesting, or attracted outside comment, or survived for a long time. I don't think that's the case for any of the ones you list here, so I am not going to send you the source. You could ask the deleting admins, if you like. If you register an account and enable email, they might be willing to email you the text, but I don't think any of these should be put on Wikipedia again. JohnCD (talk) 13:39, 23 June 2015 (UTC)

Hi John C.
When I first registered with Wikipedia I was confused by the criteria regarding usernames. I would have used my own name as I am not writing about myself etc. I guess it was a case of too much information and impatience to register. Is there a way to change my user name or should I delete my user name and start over again.
Thanking you for your advices.

I'll think about it overnight, but I am inclined to relist it with an explanation of what happened, so as to get more views. JohnCD (talk) 21:44, 19 June 2015 (UTC)
I was going to tell you I had done that - it's tricky how protection is lost if you over-ride salting by creating something. JohnCD (talk) 09:50, 25 June 2015 (UTC)
I remember a pump post about that. I might have even posted somewhere at meta or somewhere about getting that fixed. I am not sure, but I think it was exactly that issue. @Vickyji: read WP:BOLD and go for it! Also read WP:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle for what to do if someone reverts your change - that wouldn't be the end of the world, it would start a discussion about which version would be best. If you are really doubtful, place a message on the article talk page proposing the change, and wait a few days to see if anyone comments.

@Gogo Dodo: I really thought we had seen the last of him; I had better start scanning for him again. I see he has now promoted himself to royalty - talk about delusions of grandeur!
That is brilliant patrolling on your part, to zap him within half an hour of his reappearance after a two year absence! JohnCD (talk) 20:48, 1 July 2015 (UTC)
It was pure dumb luck that I saw him. The edit summary with the Privy Council mention that caught my eye. The royalty and honours thing cracked me up when I read it. It wasn't until I did some searching and I saw my own name in the ban discussion that I realized it was a sock. I had completely forgotten about him.
Speaking of other people with delusions of grandeur, Abhay Gupta is still active. I caught two of his accounts just a couple of weeks ago: Plmnbvcxzaq1478523690 and Abhaygupta12082002. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 21:14, 1 July 2015 (UTC)
TeamWork Online Deletion
Hey JohnCD. The page I created "TeamWork Online" was recently deleted by you. It appears that the page may be seen as an advertisement page. That was not our intention. Is there a way we can bring the page back?
I need your help. Alessandro Esseno page must be rewritten. Another user tried but were told not to work. How can you be done? Thank you very much. --Brainstorm76 (talk) 21:11, 3 July 2015 (UTC)
@Brainstorm76: the actual article title has been protected against creation, because unsatisfactory versions were created too many times. It will need permission from an administrator to make an article there. Meanwhile there is a version in your sandbox at User:Brainstorm76/sandbox, and another user, Arizzium55, has re-created the original version at Draft:Alessandro Esseno and, for some reason, another copy at Draft:Alessandro Esseno (2).
There should be only one copy being worked on. You should agree with Arizzium55 which one you will develop, and then both co-operate on that one. Read WP:Your first article for advice. When it is ready, submit it for review, and if it is accepted an administrator can un-protect the title. JohnCD (talk) 21:54, 3 July 2015 (UTC)
Ryan Lollis
Can you restore the history of Ryan Lollis like you did with Jake Brigham? I usually don't care about these kind of things but the article was only deleted just a few months ago and it seems like the previous history might be useful.--Yankees1023:03, 3 July 2015 (UTC)
Done. I wish people wouldn't jump the gun like this (I know it wasn't you, I'm just having a generalised mutter). An awful lot of waste motion goes into the cycle of create - PROD - PROD removed - deletion discussion - delete as not notable yet - re-create - G4 - but he'll play tomorrow - he has played - can we have the history back, please? I know you can say "why delete in the first place?" but unless there is some threshold standard we end up with articles about every "up-and-coming" hopeful. Grrr. Thanks! Most of that is boiler-plate, because I have conversations like that so often. I wish we could explain to new users before they sign up what Wikipedia is for, and more importantly what it is not for. JohnCD (talk) 21:57, 4 July 2015 (UTC)
deletion of my page
Dear John,
Please recover my deleted page: Aarif-Mohammad-Khan. It has fresh & unique content with correct info. I shall be very grateful to you for this.
@EditorRazu: Yes, you can, but it will get deleted unless the person is "notable" in Wikipedia's sense. That means they have been the subject of "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Significant means more than just listing-type mentions; reliable excludes Youtube, Facebook, blogs, places where anyone can post anything; independent excludes the subject's own website, affiliated ones and anything based on press releases. The test is, have people not connected with the person thought them significant enough to write substantial comment about? Read WP:MUSICBIO and Wikipedia:Notability (summary) to understand this more.
Unfortunately he uses two /17 ranges, that is 32K addresses each; that is too many to block for an extended period, and after a short block he would just carry on. I'm afraid there's nothing for it but play whack-a-mole and wait for him to grow up or get bored. It's an unusual case (see SPI) - he started off as the usual wannabe pop star, not many of those switch to being wannabe ethologists. JohnCD (talk) 17:37, 14 July 2015 (UTC)

Hi, John,
I hope you can help me better understand CSD and deletion discussions. I gave a CSD G13 to Draft:Jem Jem Italia because it hadn't been edited since December 2014. And I think, reading that the Page History, that the page was deleted and restored by you. But I went to the creator's page and they haven't been active since December. So, are you rescuing this draft or did someone else ask you to restore the page?
I hope you can fill me in on what happened. I have no vested interest in this draft, whether it is deleted or kept, I'm just trying to understand the CSD process better. Thanks for any enlightenment you can provide! LizRead!Talk!22:14, 14 July 2015 (UTC)
You tagged it on 8 July, then on 9 July Kudpung deleted it and the same day undeletion was requested at WP:REFUND#Draft:Jem Jem Italia and I restored it. The request was made by an IP, i.e. the creator didn't log in, that's why no activity shows on his account. So the six-month clock is reset and ticking again. It amazes me how people who have done nothing to their page for six months leap into action the moment it is deleted, but that's what often happens. JohnCD (talk) 22:27, 14 July 2015 (UTC)
I appreciate you taking the time to explain the situation, John. I also don't know how an editor who is inactive for over six months knows immediately that a draft they wrote in 2014 was just deleted! I guess they prefer to edit as an IP editor (which I, myself, did for years) but check their registered account talk page for messages. Thanks, again. LizRead!Talk!21:14, 16 July 2015 (UTC)
There is an option in Preferences: "Email me when a page or file on my watchlist is changed". Maybe they have that set, though it seems an abstruse option for a newbie to have found. I wonder whether perhaps part of the G13 warning procedure includes sending an email? As to why they request undeletion but then don't do anything more, I suspect that some of them are happy to be "in Wikipedia" with a draft, and some may even not understand that a draft is not an article. People are odd. JohnCD (talk) 21:29, 16 July 2015 (UTC)

A hoax that lasted 7 years and 10 months - quite an achievement for a vandal! Well done for spotting it at last. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 17:35, 17 July 2015 (UTC)
I can't claim the credit: an IP blanked the page with edit summary "Removed what was obviously a hoax", someone else tagged it speedy A3, I declined that and then took a second look. JohnCD (talk) 17:42, 17 July 2015 (UTC)
OK, I didn't check all that, I just saw that it was you who had tagged it for hoax-deletion. However, you still deserve some of the credit, for having put in the work of checking, and finding evidence that it was a hoax, which many admins might not have done. In any case, I do find it very disconcerting when from time to time one of these really long-standing examples of vandalism is found. It makes me wonder how many more there are, that just don't get detected. It is also distinctly alarming how many web pages there are that mirror the same nonsense - once something has been on Wikipedia for some time, it becomes widely recognised as fact, no matter if it's total rubbish. Since many of them flagrantly violate the terms of the CC by attribution license, by not saying they got the stuff from Wikipedia, even when the original Wikipedia article has been deleted, the nonsense is still around, with no way of telling that it started in a hoax article. I wonder if the vandal who posted it has long since forgotten it, or has ever after creating it amused herself/himself by pointing it out to everyone they know. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 18:51, 17 July 2015 (UTC)
Yes, it's alarming how misinformation spreads. Since a good many of the mirror sites do actually credit WP, I have in some cases gone to the trouble of an AfD to lay the evidence out, even where the evidence was overwhelming, so that anyone tracking back to WP from a mirror would see not only that the page was gone but what was wrong with it.
It's also depressing, when one of these turns up. how many people have gnomed away at it fixing categories and persondata and even adding "unreferenced" tags, without ever bothering to wonder for a moment about the actual content.
A bot to look for articles posted in one or two edits by users who never contribute again might help to turn up hoaxes. JohnCD (talk) 21:10, 17 July 2015 (UTC)
You indicated yourself as one who's willing to handle RevDelete requests. Could you redact the edit summary of this edit? The edit summary appears to be an attack summary. Gparyani (talk) 18:16, 27 July 2015 (UTC)
John, I should've been more clear. Although I am able to access some content from your link, the bulk of the important content has been removed. More specifically, I'm trying to recreate a list of about 100+ names of black belts promoted by Adilson Bitta Lima. They were on the original page before it was removed. Is it possible that old content is archived somewhere? iambrodybjjIambrodybjj (talk) 17:01, 10 August 2015 (UTC)
The whole history of the page, including all previous versions, is still available. Click on "View history" at the top to see them all listed; then clicking on the time/date entry towards the left of any line will show you that version of the page. I'm not sure, though, that a list of 100+ names is appropriate for an encyclopedia article; better, in my opinion, to say something like "He has been responsible for over <however many> black belts, including... " and then list some of the more notable ones. JohnCD (talk) 17:17, 10 August 2015 (UTC)
Your email
I got your email, despite the fact that for some reason it went to my spam folder. I am keeping an eye on it. So far, nothing to report. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 12:22, 20 July 2015 (UTC)
Well, I have no idea why you didn't get my email, but it was only information for interest, nothing vital. Apart from what you can see in the SPI, I have blocked some other accounts. I have also put blocks on two IP ranges for an extended period, and another range briefly. I haven't seen any recent IP editing from the person in question, so maybe the range blocks are having some effect. Even though the editor can still edit by creating new accounts, being put to the extra trouble of having to go to another computer and create an account is likely to slow him down a bit. Albert Thain
Hi,
I was in the middle of creating a page for Albert Thain yesterday but it was promptly deleted in the time it took me to get home from the office. It says I should talk to the user who deleted it before creating the page again?
Hi. I want to know why u deleted the Annastasia Vincoun page. She is a very good designer and people should know about her! If you delete it every day....I will write it again and again! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Mari19dianoi (talk • contribs) 09:59, 15 August 2015 (UTC)
@Mari19dianoi: I deleted it because there was nothing in it that suggested she was a suitable subject for an encyclopedia. The test for inclusion is called Wikipedia:Notability, and looks for references to "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject." Also, what you wrote was gossipy material suitable for a social-networking site, not for a serious encyclopedia. I suggest that you write about her somewhere like Facebook.
If you write it again and again, it will be deleted again and again, and eventually you will be blocked. Read the links in the Welcome message at the top of your talk page to learn more about Wikipedia. JohnCD (talk) 21:12, 15 August 2015 (UTC)
User Page: RAYOLIVERESQ
I received your mssg. that you have deleted and moved my Wiki User page. I have already discussed this issue a
few years ago. My user page sets out my biography/academic training for purposes of establishing authority in
the areas that I choose to contribute or of editing Wiki Articles. I am thoroughly familiar with the policy
relating to User pages. User page content is liberally permitted. My page is not self promoting. It contains
the extensive work and professional background over the course of 37 years. If there is anyone who challenges
my editing/contributions on a talk page, they have the benefit of reviewing my academic and professional background.
Too often, editorial compositions and decisions are made by those who do not have a scintilla of professional
education or experience on the topic. My User page avoids that problem. Lastly, my page is only as promotional
as the quality of the content that it provides for those who wish to review my qualifications for any editorial
position that I take.
Again, this issue was earlier resolved.
Kindly leave my User page free from further disruption or changes.
If you have any objection to the content of my user page, then submit it first on the talk page for
discussion. You are engaging in a User Page editorial war. Submit your opinion to the talk page.
.... I have just noticed that you "Blacklisted" my User Page title, which is my name.
My User Page based on my real name is not within the purview of blacklisted titles. Although, Wiki policy
is to avoid taking personal offense to editorial actions by others, I find it nearly impossible not to be
offended by your blacklisting my User Page with my name. I note that you use a pseudonym for your User Page.
Kindly revert my page to its original status, prior to your deletion and blacklisting.
Since I have not encountered this situation on WP for the past 5 years approximately, I will need to search
the remedies that are available to me from your imprudent blacklisting of my "name."

I am restoring my page. It is "especially" critical that my professional background be available for an anticipated
vigorous objection to my proposal to edit the page on Anti Semitism, based on academic research of Semitism.
I do NOT want to repeat my professional
qualification each time on a talk page for every person who challenges my editorial decisions, despite the speciousness
of their reasoning.
I will restore my User Page for these reasons.

As Bbb23 says, I have not "blacklisted" anything, and I do not know what gives you that impression. I moved the page to a draft article location because it said at the bottom "This page will be moved to ARTICLES and DISCUSSION on completion", and because it was obviously unsuitable as a main user page.
You say that its purpose is to establish your professional qualifications. Wikipedia does not work on that basis: contributions are assessed on the basis of reliable, published sources rather than the contributor's credentials. Expert contributors certainly have value, but that lies in their ability to locate and assess published sources, rather than their personal opinions. This may seem odd, but it is fundamental; a similar project with more emphasis on credentials and expert contributors was set up at Citizendium, but has failed to take off.
In any case, it is hard to see what your early life, your family history, the exploits of your grandchildren or lists of Lebanese Americans have to do with the encyclopedia. This looks more like a Facebook-style social-media page than anything appropriate for Wikipedia.
However, since you explicitly ask for it to be returned to your user page, I have done that, and also nominated it at WP:Miscellany for deletion/User:RAYOLIVERESQ to get a community view. You are welcome to comment there, but please read WP:UPNOT and WP:NOTWEBHOST first. These discussions normally last for seven days, after which an uninvolved administrator will decide what to do. Deletion of the user page
Hello, the page that I asked to be deleted used to be mine a long time ago and I would like it to be removed since it has my name on it and appears through searchers/google (which I made when I was quite young.. so a mistake if I might add). Is there anyway for me to remove the account? - I've already tried to get my password from the old account which said my username was invalid. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hjkf (talk • contribs) 14:28, 31 August 2015 (UTC)
@Hjkf: it seems the Allstar account did not have email enabled, so if you have lost the password there is no way to recover it. But don't worry about search engines: the blanking template I used marks the page with "NOINDEX", so within a few days it will drop off Google's search results. JohnCD (talk) 14:39, 31 August 2015 (UTC)
I, Clintric, request the undeletion of this Articles for creation submission deleted under CSD A7. Please restore the page as I intend to work on it. This submission was declined based on lack of notability. I remain confident that an article on this topic belings in Wikipedia and am continuing to assemble support for its notability.
I've noticed that K. Nathaniel and G. Emmanuel have been deleted as per Wikipedia policy. Yes, indeed they have been violative of Wikipedia standards. However, would it be possible to reinstate them by removing the harmful content. As you may be aware, these two clergymen headed the largest Lutheran Church in India. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Meher Mansion (talk • contribs) 05:19, 1 September 2015 (UTC)
@Meher Mansion: you may create articles about them, but read WP:Biographies of living persons very carefully. Even where the subject of the article is dead, that policy applies to any mention of living persons. Reliable sources are essential: anything based on rumour or gossip is not acceptable. Also, read WP:Your first article. I suggest you make draft articles by clicking on Help:Userspace draft and filling in the title. That way, you will be able to send the drafts for review before they go to the main encyclopedia. JohnCD (talk) 08:51, 1 September 2015 (UTC)
@Yankees10: already re-created by someone else. I have restored the deleted versions to the history. In a case like this, where the article was deleted at AfD, you should really go first to the closing admin, in this case Northamerica1000, who I will ping to notify him of what has been done. JohnCD (talk) 19:44, 1 September 2015 (UTC)
I would like you to allow me to recreate a new page of Skandals kibao as I have gathered enough data to construct it.For instance I have all the cast members and crew, date of premiere and no. of episodes.Just allow me to redo the page again.Or at least give me guidelines on what to do.Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Nyanchoka (talk • contribs) 20:49, 1 September 2015 (UTC)
No, that is no better than the version that was deleted at AfD. The first two references are the same, and are obviously based on a press release in advance of the launch. The other two are about an actress and only mention the show in passing (and, incidentally, that actress's name does not appear in the article?) Read WP:Notability (summary) for the sort of coverage that is needed. I think you will probably have to wait until the show has been running for some time, so that independent reviews and coverage have appeared. JohnCD (talk) 22:21, 1 September 2015 (UTC)
Judo do
Hey, just giving you a head's up: the article content for Judo do has been removed from Judo, so I didn't know if you wanted to delete the redirect or not. I've blocked the user for 48 hours for disruptive editing and I've made sure to let them know that right now their only way to get the article created is to go through AfC. To be honest, I think that this article would likely be ripped to shreds if it was taken to AfD, given how disruptive the editor has been and it'd likely end without any mention of the sport anywhere, whereas going through AfC would at least give it a fighting chance. I'm trying to figure out their native language (since they are an obvious ESL editor) so that we can have someone try to come in and help explain the guidelines and policies in their native language, which might help clear up some of the confusion. If they keep up with their current line of thought/action (ie, my way or the highway) then I have no problem extending the block for a longer period of time, although I'd prefer for them to quietly work on the article at AfC rather than try to disruptively add it to the mainspace. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。)09:50, 2 September 2015 (UTC)
@Tokyogirl79: Thanks. I'll delete the redirect for the moment though I'll also talk to whoever removed the entry under "Other variants" from the Judo article because I think that would be a sensible way to cover what seems to be a real but non-notable variant.
Thanks also for coping with our friend; my patience was just about exhausted and I was thinking I should bring someone else in. I have been telling him to prepare a draft (he deletes most of my advice from his talk page) but he seems to take that as an insult - he took umbrage because his first version, which said it was an Olympic sport, was deleted as a hoax. When he comes off his block, let's tell him the only way he will get an article is by first making a draft, others have started it for him, let him improve it as best he can because it will then be posted to mainspace and sent to AfD. I will also leave a note at WikiProject Martial Arts in case anyone there can throw light on Judo-do.
I agree he's not an English speaker - many of his messages consist of bits copy-pasted from policy pages or other messages, which is just what I would do if I had to argue in a foreign language. If he will tell us his language, we could try to get someone to interpret; but I'm afraid I don't see much future for him here because (a) there's no indication that his pet subject is notable, and (b) he does not seem to have the collaborative temperament. JohnCD (talk) 21:45, 2 September 2015 (UTC)
I have to admit that I agree with you on him likely not lasting long. I keep asking him to tell us his native language so we can get a translator in, but they haven't answered. I was wondering if he was Polish, but then if he was then he likely wouldn't have seen the Polish source as proof that the sport was an Olympic sport. (The source just compared it to Judo, which is an Olympic sport, but never said that Judo do was an Olympic sport.) The language barrier was the only reason why the block wasn't longer or permanent, to be honest. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。)05:42, 3 September 2015 (UTC)
Mass killings
It looks very close on that appeal. I am not sure that it will be considered to be a consensus to allow it. But, my plan is to revive some of the content under the name Mass killings under liberal democracies, while doing a substantial reset. I would like to preserve the edit history. I would like to do this, without being seen as a trouble-maker or going against the spirit of the consensus. But the consensus currently being considered is concerning "capitalist regimes." So it is my hope to build a new article substantially from scratch, but in the end, it will likely contain many, it not most of the listed events. Any help would be appreciated. Youknowwhatimsayin (talk) 05:50, 2 September 2015 (UTC)
@Youknowwhatimsayin: if the DRV decision is "keep deleted" that is saying, in effect, that the article is so bad that WP:TNT applies - best to blow it up and start over. In that case, if you soon post a new article on the same lines, it will certainly be seen as disruptive. What you should do is prepare a new draft (start the page title with "Draft:") and present it again to DRV only after it is complete, tidied up and edited for consistency.
If a new article is accepted, you could then ask whether the history of the previous article could be restored behind it: but I think the new article would need to be so different that people would be reluctant to do that.
The scope would be need to be much better defined, and probably narrower. Your big obstacle is WP:SYNTH: "Do not combine material from multiple sources to reach or imply a conclusion not explicitly stated by any of the sources." That policy is there to limit Wikipedia's scope, because encyclopedias are not for publishing new ideas, only for summarising ideas already published. You need to show that your chosen subject, however it is defined, is a thing that, in total, has been discussed by other reliable published sources.
Dear JohnCD thank you for your reply to my message regarding Hunt Monitors and your explanation as to why it had been deleted.
Unfortunately I have aleady resubmitted it without any further editing. (It had already been improved several times since the last draft in 2014). I guess I will now wait and see if it approved or not. Thank you again. Any further advise would be very welcome. Judy Gilbert (Zinfandelorganic)
Zinfandelorganic (talk) 09:52, 4 September 2015 (UTC)
@Zinfandelorganic: I have withdrawn the draft from the queue for now, because re-submitting it unchanged would just waste time. I will answer your question below later - it will take a bit of work. JohnCD (talk) 13:52, 4 September 2015 (UTC)
Dear JohnCD is there any way I can retrieve the latest version, that is the version that was deleted, of my article Hunt Monitors. The only version I can find is out of date. It had been improved by user David Crawford, which I thought was very constructive and improved my use of English. If you could find or you could tell me how I can find this deleted version I will then resubmit it as I believe this version should pass all the Wiki tests of suitability.
Thank you for your patience John, I do not always find Wiki very easy to navigate.

The only deleted page from your account was your user talk page User talk:Dtayl20, which I deleted because it was an ad for a wedding brokerage. Wikipedia doesn't allow any kind of advertising or promotion, even in user or talk pages. I'm sure it wasn't "approved" back in 2008, it just wasn't noticed then, but it was flagged yesterday as part of a clean-up. JohnCD (talk) 09:18, 7 September 2015 (UTC)

I think you must be signing your messages with five tilde characters ~~~~~, which only gives the time and date but not your username. You should use four tildes ~~~~, which produces a full "signature" like this, including a link to your talk page: JohnCD (talk) 17:11, 7 September 2015 (UTC)
Just a heads up that Nawlinwiki has stepped in and blocked User:Lot7000, so your advice for the user to edit User: Lot7000/sandbox (which actually has a typo'd space in it now that I copypaste it) is no longer applicable - you might want to tweak that. Limiting them to editing their own talk page is probably okay while this gets sorted out. Appreciate your time in patience in trying to. --McGeddon (talk) 15:23, 10 September 2015 (UTC)

In my absence, you speedied all the articles in dispute. Please restore them to my userspace so I can add the appropriate sources and repost when I have loaded them up with sources. Trackinfo (talk) 08:09, 14 September 2015 (UTC)
Some time ago I came across the page Oven glove and looked into the whole idea of Earl Mitt. I came to the conclusion it was nonsense -there was only one reference and it did not appear to cite any references itself. I removed it from the page after leaving a comment to see if anyone would object. But it was returned. I would like a new opinion- it's one of those silly things that annoys me but I don't want to remove it again having done so once -and of course I may be wrong (Sandwiches, cardigans and get their names from men after all).
I rarely get to edit Wikipedia anymore though I hope that will change again in the future. But the result is I am slow to follow up on issues and can't remember the best way to resolve them..So I thought I would ask you.-- 🍺 Antiqueightconfer11:51, 23 September 2015 (UTC)
@Antiqueight: the way to handle this sort of content dispute is described at WP:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle. Deleting it again would continue a slow-motion edit war. The thing to do is, start a discussion on the talk page, saying perhaps that you think the one source is not reliable, and anyway does not back up the sentence about experimenting with different shapes, and see whether there is a consensus to remove it, or whether anyone can provide better sources. The problem will be finding anyone interested - you could try posting at the talk page of Wikipedia:WikiProject Food and drink whose banner is on the talk page, and if there is no response after a bit, put a {{helpme}} on the page. Tara Gruenewald
I am intending to create a page for Dr. Tara Gruenewald, who is well renowned as well as being an assistant professor of gerontology at the University of Southern California. She has also had been published recently in an article at http://psychsocgerontology.oxfordjournals.org/content/early/2015/02/25/geronb.gbv005.abstract. I am wondering if you remember why you deleted her a few years ago?
@Raphael Margolin: I deleted the article at its author's request, after s/he was advised that its subject probably did not then meet Wikipedia's quite demanding notability requirement for academics, explained at WP:Notability (academics). You can read the story at User talk:Jriggs2012: there is advice from me and from others which you may find useful.
If you think that Dr Gruenewald now meets the WP:PROF standard, I will be happy to undelete the article for you to work on. I would put it in the new "Draft namespace" where articles can be worked on and, if required, submitted for review by an experienced user, rather than posted directly in the encyclopedia. JohnCD (talk) 20:10, 25 September 2015 (UTC)
I'll do them as soon as they have "matured" - I'm a stickler for waiting the full 7 x 24 hr on closing discussions unless there is some really pressing reason to jump the gun. Cheers,JohnCD (talk) 14:54, 26 September 2015 (UTC)

Already blocked by HJMitchell. WP:UAA is the place to report things like this. I don't think the username alone would have made me block, but it would make me look hard at the contributions. JohnCD (talk) 21:19, 27 September 2015 (UTC)
I know the username wasn't enough to block them (the vandalism was, though), but I couldn't resist posting here after seeing your accidental block of Amortias. Thomas.W talk21:22, 27 September 2015 (UTC)
Ah, I see. No, I am really not that trigger-happy. In five years as an admin, that is my second mistaken block and, to make it worse, both of them were eminently upright and virtuous citizens with clean block logs. There is a thread on Jimbo's talk page about how to make users retire when they get senile; maybe it's me they are talking about. JohnCD (talk) 21:33, 27 September 2015 (UTC)
Shite happens. The only entry in my block log is an accidental one minute block by JamesBWatson a couple of years back, on a day when there were too many Thomases around, so you're not the only one who has clicked on the wrong name. Thomas.W talk21:38, 27 September 2015 (UTC)

08:24, 18 September 2015 JohnCD (talk | contribs) deleted page Talk:Avrett Free Ginsberg (G8: Page dependent on a deleted or nonexistent page)
Good reason(s):
The article was PROD'd (G7 if memory serves) but has since been un-PROD'd, w/ agreement of deleting admin, so the G8-reason is no longer applicable.
I don't want to just recreate the talkpage blank, since the deleted talkpage prolly had wikiproject-templates already (and maybe even "actual" talkpage discussions and stuff).
I'm trying to place {{connected_contributor}} upon the talkpage, for the presumably-connected-contributor(s).
Asking very WP:NICEly per WhyDeleted instructions:
Done. No need even to ask so nicely, though I will ping the admin who restored the article, DGG, on the off-chance that he had a reason not to restore the talk page. If this should happen again, best first to ask the restoring admin, whose name you can find by clicking "View logs for this page" at top left of the history page. JohnCD (talk) 13:24, 24 September 2015 (UTC)
I did ask DGG first actually, but it was a ping from the WP:COIN thread rather than a direct-on-the-usertalk type of asking. (And technically he was the restoring-admin, DGG first got the restoration-okay from the actual-deleting-admin, who was in an airport somewhere travelling, but that prolly doesn't matter.) In any case, since when I checked back I saw that the pagenotice specifically says 'the deleting admin' I figured I would contact you second. :-) All is well that ends well methinks. Anyways, thanks for putting the thing back, appreciated. 75.108.94.227 (talk) 22:22, 25 September 2015 (UTC)

You edited the page for the original discussion. I, however, have relisted the discussion (twice) to yesterday's TfD log. I've moved your comment there. Gparyani (talk) 07:15, 30 September 2015 (UTC)
Hello, JohnCD. Please check your email; you've got mail! It may take a few minutes from the time the email is sent for it to show up in your inbox. You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{You've got mail}} or {{ygm}} template.
I just came across this page which was tagged by you and @MarnetteD:. If both of you had actually checked the reference given, you would have found that the original title is "Toshi, Sharib and Swaroop Khan perform at Rajasthan Day celebrations in Jaipur" not "Toshi, Sharib, Nishit Ashokkumar Mehta And Swaroop Khan perform at Rajasthan Day celebrations in Jaipur".
He created this bogus page today, which i tagged for deletion
This letter is about the page you deleted about Flowers. The content was copied from their website itself, but was copied as it is an article about them . Sorry about that and it is deleted now.
Please find the content in my own language. I know the channel from the time it was conceived.

CCU Process
Please, mention the requirements which have to be met to restore creation of deleted page in near future, if the article will be well written draft.
Reply to the message (CCU)
So, there are three main missing parts to be completed. Please, can you clarify about to declare the relationship. Is there a procedure for this which I can follow?
And the second question: how can I make Authority Control from listed web-resources? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Arturvfrolov (talk • contribs) 12:44, 8 October 2015 (UTC)
recently created "town" articles.
JohnnyHoffa has come alive today and decided to create "articles" for railroad stops. Article is one sentence with a ref to a Wikipedia article. Has also created "bigger" articles, but I've either deleted or tagged them as copyvio. Three years ago, you ran into them creating other "town articles". Any advice on what to do with the articles? CCU Page
Hello Dear John,
1. Regarding the CCU article, currently I am collecting references and information that proves what's written there.
I will remove information about accreditation until I get reliable sources to prove that.
Can this article be submitted without accreditation information so there will be overall description about the university,
and I will put official Shield as logo of the article. This, people will see this article. And as soon as I get sources,
I will improve it with reliable references etc.
@Grondemar: sorry for any problem - what I thought I was doing was moving the talk page to catch up with the article, in response to a speedy request on the target talk page. The history is confused, and I cannot now make out what actually happened. The proper talk page is now at Talk:Mark Miles, so all is well now? JohnCD (talk) 22:05, 10 October 2015 (UTC)
Hi John - About a year ago i had asked for name suppression as per the online harassment clause and you had very kindly deleted the post and extended this restriction through your moderation authority on wikipages. I hope you are able to do the same yet again as this has not died down and i would like that during a name search online this link doesnt show up with whatever happened then. I hope you understand my predicament and hope you're able to pull up details with the attached link and what this case related to last year when i contacted you online. Im afraid i cannot divulge anymore details than this - hoping you're able to help again . Many thanks Ana. 203.109.197.24 (talk) 20:59, 11 October 2015 (UTC)
Has there been more activity on Wikipedia? The account previously concerned has not edited again.
On a Google search for your name, the only relevant thing that comes up (on the second page of results) is not from Wikipedia but from Wikivisually.com (a "mirror site" which copies from Wikipedia, as it is allowed to do by our license terms). That shows a reference to their copy of the page in my Wikipedia talk page archive where you first asked for assistance. I have now edited that talk page archive so as not to show the names concerned. I do not know whether Wikivisually.com will update to reflect that change, but I doubt it. We have no control over them, but you could ask them to remove the copy of my archived talk page from their database, or alternatively to update their copy to reflect its current state. Failing that, you could approach Google and claim the "Right to be forgotten", though that may not apply outside the European Union.
I have been informed I was blocked for changes which constitute vandalism, however, I made no changes whatsoever to any of the four entries. Can someone tell me what the hell is going on?
You can't get away with that story, because every change made to Wikipedia is recorded. This was the change your IP made to Chearsley; it doesn't show now because an anti-vandalism patroller changed it back. It's the same story for the other three changes: 1, 2, 3. Please go and play somewhere else and stop wasting our time, or the next block will be longer.
If these changes were not made by you, but by someone else using your (static) IP, then don't worry about it, but consider registering an account, which is easy and free, so that there will be no confusion between your edits and anyone else's. JohnCD (talk) 14:36, 12 October 2015 (UTC)

Thanks. I have undone the tangle of moves he did, restored his user talk page to its proper place, and given him a final warning. JohnCD (talk) 18:03, 13 October 2015 (UTC)

delete and undelete
Thank you for welcoming and warning, for dealing with deletions of articles due to vandalism, spam, promotion, nonsense, hoax, for assisting the precision bombing in Howard Roark style, - you are an awesome Wikipedian!
Hi! My page creation for Talia Denis was deleted last week due to copyright infringement. I had used a bio I wrote for it, but it was used on multiple sites apparently. I would like to create this page again, and will write a whole new entry for it that shouldn't mirror anything else on the web. How can I go about this?
@Ashleymhart: you can just go ahead and write, using WP:Articles for creation to make a draft for review by an uninvolved user; but it should look nothing like the previous version which, apart from the copyright issue, was far too promotional in tone for an encyclopedia. Read carefully what I wrote on your talk page under the heading "Copyright, promotion, COI". JohnCD (talk) 15:39, 21 October 2015 (UTC)
page addition
Hi John,
I am trying to create a wiki page for a band that have been around for nearly 10 years - i run a fan site about the band and notice that they havent got a wiki page. I have gone to create a page and it says that they had a page deleted in 2012 by yourself for copyright infringement from Reverbnation. I would like to set up a fresh page and add information my self. would this still be deleted ?
@Kajit paron: If you want to write down your life-story so that you can remember it, you can do that at home. If you want to publish it, you can do that on Facebook or other social-networking sites, but not on Wikipedia. JohnCD (talk) 14:53, 23 October 2015 (UTC)
There was no copyright infringement. I work for the CHS Alliance and was involved in the development process of the Core Humanitarian Standard. The information in the Standard and on the CHS Alliance website can be used widely without any copyright infringement. Can you please rehabilitate the two pages? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aidepikiw2003 (talk • contribs) 12:02, 27 October 2015 (UTC)
This does not make any sense. We're not for profit. And the same goes for pages such as Humanitarian Accountability Partnership, People In Aid, and Sphere Project. If you delete our page, why not those other ones? You're not being consistent. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aidepikiw2003 (talk • contribs) 12:10, 27 October 2015 (UTC)
I'm having a rough introduction to Wikipedia because you choose not to be constructive, it's that simple. You could have warned me before deleting both articles. I'll have to do it again, it's not like I have a choice. I could have easily rewritten the text with external references, including people external to my NGO. Is there any way to access the information you deleted? Aidepikiw2003 (talk) 12:23, 27 October 2015 (UTC)
With copyright information there is no choice: it must be speedily deleted as soon as identified, and cannot be restored, even temporarily. I will email copies to you. If you want to use any substantial portions from it, WP:Donating copyrighted materials describes how to make a copyright release, but better to write in your own words, as if from outside. Because of your COI, use WP:Articles for creation rather than posting directly. You may find the WP:Article wizard helpful.
I made a mistake by creating another account to edit the same page. Could you please unlock my account? I will try to re-edit the page by following the rule provided. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bloggersam (talk • contribs) 10:08, 29 October 2015 (UTC)
Thanks, JohnCD, for deleting the Commons image I duplicatively requested for deletion. I'll remember to use the {{db-g7}} tag in future. Cheers,

Thank you
Hello JohnCD,
Thank you for deleting my user page as I requested. It was a mess (of updates).
I would like to create a new and simpler version, and so I am giving
you the heads-up about that.
Thanks again,

I think this may be a bit too much personal information being made public: <redacted>. Can you remove this, and should I ask for Oversight on it? --|Uncle Milty | talk|22:30, 1 November 2015 (UTC)
