I'm really a Steve, but I've used steevc on a variety of on-line services over the years. It is effectively my Googlenym.

I live in Arlesey, Bedfordshire, United Kingdom in a house we had built for us.

I've been using computers since around 1979. Since 2004 I've mainly used Linux at home after using Microsoft Windows, Amiga and BBC Micro systems. My current distribution of choice is Ubuntu_linux. My computing interests include Encryption, the Python_programming_language and the Semantic web. I program professionally on systems for the TV industry, but rarely get around to writing programs at home for fun.
