So the possibilities are to move this page with something in parenthesis 1) and move WRC2 here, then we need to create a page for WRC2 Pro (now WRC2). 2) Or let this title be a disambig. page. No "2020 World Rally Championship-3" is ok, but the current page to something like "World Rally Championship-3 (xxxx-2018)" and another for "World Rally Championship-3", because now it's WRC2 with a new name. @Pelmeen10: no, we cannot. Where the old WRC-3 was open to R1/2/3 cars and the new is open to R5, the WRC-2 had always been open to R5 cars. Mclarenfan17 (talk) 09:57, 3 December 2019 (UTC)

The "WRC-2" was renamed "WRC-3" for private entries. "2020 WRC-3" is the 8th season for them, but nothing to do with this article. WRC-2 Pro was renamed WRC-2. "2020 WRC-2" is the second season for them (if we can call it splitting, then 8th aswell). Pelmeen10 (talk) 19:13, 3 December 2019 (UTC)

Before bringing random comparisons, check the sources. Even the one you provided states The WRC's second tier will be split into WRC 2 and WRC 3 next season following criticism of this year's WRC2 Pro and WRC2 formula for being complicated and difficult to follow. I agree with @Pelmeen10: The former WRC-3 was just disbanded, and a new category was introduced as 2nd level, with the former WRC-2 changing designation for WRC-3 but keeping everything else. Its just a rename, like it happened for example, with Formula 2 and Formula 3 (european championship). For me its a no brainer.Rpo.castro (talk) 14:07, 6 December 2019 (UTC)

Anyone who follows the link to World Rally Championship-3 in the 2020 World Rally Championship-3 article is going to be taken to a page saying the championship is defunct, even though the 2020 article says that it is alive and well. That is just going to make a mess of things. Moving the WRC-3 article is justified because of the change in regulations. But in the case of the WRC-2, the regulations have remained almost identical. All you're going to do is create confusion. Mclarenfan17 (talk) 12:09, 2 January 2020 (UTC)

The move WRC-3 to WRC-3 (2013-2018) is simple to understand. For the new WRC-2 and WRC-3 (or as in 2019 WRC-2 Pro and WRC-2) its a bit tricky. They are a split up from old WRC-2. The question is: who is the continuation of old WRC-2 (Super 2000 World Rally Championship or S-WRC)? If, WRC-3 is considered as a direct replacement of old WRC-2, like the quote, WRC-2 should be moved to WRC-3, and a new WRC-2 article should be created starting in 2019 as WRC-2 Pro. For example in 2020 World Rally Championship-3, the previous edition is 2019 World Rally Championship-2. Looking at the drivers from old WRC-2, some took WRC-2 Pro and some run in WRC-2 (now WRC-3). Either way will be messy and bit hard to understand in the future for someone outside.Rpo.castro (talk) 10:45, 3 January 2020 (UTC)
