I just came here after doing a literature review on frustrated magnets and think we need to be clear about what constitutes a discovery. The earliest detection of lack of long-range order was done with Cs2CuCl4 back in 2000 (Coldea et al.). But people in 2012 still didn't have an agreement as to whether the spin liquid has been discovered... My guess is that until physicists could match their experimental findings with a theory that successfully explains it, which happened in 2016 (Banerjee et al.), they were not 100% comfortable calling it a discovery. --D昌양 (Talk) 19:09, 22 October 2018 (UTC)
