Image:Lightroom v1.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

How about some discussion of why it's called Lightroom? Does old-fashioned photo work actually involve a room called a lightroom, or is it just on play on the word "darkroom"? 71.82.211.210 (talk) 22:14, 23 February 2008 (UTC)
I changed the screenshot, as the old one was in Lightroom 1.0 (vs. 1.3) and was very small, and one would have difficulty seeing details of the screenshot. It is now a screenshot of Lightroom 1.3 under Windows Vista, and is 1280x800 pixels. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Slowesttooth (talk • contribs) 00:38, 2 March 2008 (UTC)
Is it possible for someone to create a Userbox for this application? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Razster (talk • contribs) 20:23, 29 April 2008 (UTC)
The section See Also refers to the article Comparison of raster graphics editors, but the word Lightroom doesn't occur in this article. OlavN (talk) 08:58, 11 September 2008 (UTC) I added Lightroom to the article. Who can complete the discussion in the comparison article tables?Dogru144 (talk) 09:03, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
Ummm... what does it do?
What does it actually do? What does it do that Photoshop doesn't do?
Reading this you have no idea of it's actual application. Why would you use it? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.89.174.132 (talk) 16:50, 19 January 2010 (UTC)
Hi All. The x days since release does not seem to be working. Permanently shows six days on my PC. No idea how to fix this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.211.140.39 (talk) 07:47, 1 April 2012 (UTC)
I have placed an ADVERT mark-up for the paragraphs discussing Version 4 of the software, because the style of the list is evident of lifted advertising/manual copy, likely originated by Adobe, using "your/you" in a non-encyclopedic and promotional way, reflecting advertising copy. Note: I am NOT implying that anyone from ADOBE inserted this material. Trevor H. (UK) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Trevor H. (talk • contribs) 06:57, 9 November 2012 (UTC)

I am absolutely none the wiser after reading this article. An encyclopedia article should explain what Lightroom does and doesn't do. And given its heritage, it should explain its differences from Photoshop. All I see though is jargon like "Tethered Capture Support". Adpete (talk) 08:44, 17 December 2014 (UTC)
Hello fellow Wikipedians,

"The latest/most current version of Lightroom CC is 2015.12 and Lightroom 6 is 6.12." See https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/keeping-lightroom-up-to-date.html.
So shouldn't this article contain information about Lightroom CC? Or is there some reason why it doesn't?

I came here to find out when Lightroom CC became Lightroom, but this article still thinks it is called Lightroom CC. Also Adobe no longer differentiates between Lightroom Mobile and Lightroom Desktop. There are two versions, Lightroom Classic and Lightroom 58.110.77.244 (talk) 04:37, 3 June 2024 (UTC)
