Cristóbal Rovira Kaltwasser is a Chilean political scientist. Rovira has published various books on modern Latin American right-wing politics including "Rethinking the Latin American Right" and "The Populist Radical Right and the Pandemic". He is director of "Ultra-Lab" (Laboratorio para el Estudio de la Ultraderecha) a research institute focusing on far-right politics. Some of his work has been financed by Open Society Foundations.
CNN Chile has characterized him as "one of the most influential academics in the study of elites, populism and far-right politics".
