The information under payment options about Sam's Club not accepting Visa credit cards is no longer valid. According to Chase Bank, this has changed: https://www.chase.com/digital/wholesale
I don't know a whole lot about the rules of editing articles or citing sources, but I figured I'd mention it here if anyone is interested in taking care of this. 68.111.138.236 (talk) 01:14, 8 July 2016 (UTC)
Not done Hi 68.111.138.236! The Sam's Club website lists Visa credit cards as an accepted payment method. Also, when I checked the Chase website you provided, it also said Visa cards are accepted at Sam's Club. I think it has been constantly changing over the last few years. Have a great day, Daylen (talk) 05:24, 7 December 2016 (UTC).
Number of stores
Reference #1 is supposed to state that there are 597 Sam's Club stores in the U.S. However, it doesn't state that. It only states that 63 stores closed in January. 165.91.13.41 (talk) 20:45, 7 September 2018 (UTC)
This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered.
Hi editors, I'm TJ and I work for Walmart. I had a couple of small update suggestions for this article that I think will bring it up to date and add some sourcing where there currently is none.
First, I suggest adding the following two sentences to the second-to-last paragraph of the History section:
McClay announced plans in 2023 for the company to build 30 stores. She became CEO of Walmart International in 2023 and was succeeded as Sam's Club CEO by Christopher Nicholas.
Second, I suggest replacing the last sentence of the History section, which is currently unsourced, with the following:
As of January 2024, Sam's Club used an artificial intelligence-based receipt-checking technology at 10 stores that required customers to move through a portal to verify purchases. The company announced plans to put the technology in all of its stores by the end of 2024.
Finally, I suggest replacing the first sentence of the second paragraph of the Design section with the following, as the current sentence is no longer accurate:
Sam's Club consolidated its private labels under the Member's Mark brand in 2017.
Please let me know what you think! Happy to answer any questions. Because of my conflict of interest I cannot make changes myself. TJ at Walmart (talk) 15:36, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
@TJ at Walmart Hi TJ. I've added the changes you've requested, thank you for such clear instructions and for following the COI protocol. Could you double check that I have added the information in the correct sections? This is my first time fulfilling an edit request, so I apologise for any mistakes. -- NotCharizard🗨03:18, 28 April 2024 (UTC)
The number of employees is numbered at 2,300,000 which is Walmart's full employee force. Even though the source cited states this information, perhaps a change in source is needed. Sam's Club's own LinkedIn only specifies they have over 10,001 employees: https://www.linkedin.com/company/sam's-clubGFRS1213 (talk) 04:06, 8 April 2024 (UTC)
