Although I think this is a marvelous map, the uploader does not mention the source for his material. I have found an older book with a map closely resembling the one put forth on this image. The map is entitled "Eurasia and the Silk Routes, c. 150 A.D." Here is the citation for the particular book if anyone would like to look it up:
