Classification rationale and declaration of intent

I am the creator of this image, which is an adaptation of an existing public domain NASA image. I created it to provide an annotated geographical overview of the entire south-eastern Mediterranean region, centered on the Dead Sea, showing the whole of Israel, the West Bank, the Gaza Strip and the Golan Heights, with almost all of western Jordan plus portions of Egypt, Syria and Lebanon.

As it covers the whole territory of Israel and the Palestinian territories, I have categorised the map in both Category:Maps of Israel and Category:Maps of the Palestinian territories. -- ChrisO 21:59, 27 March 2007 (UTC)
