Replace with File:Bandera de España.svg (colours more accurate per specifications as well as some fixes for the coat of arms, such as the chains and castle openings being uneven. File size can be optimized from that point. HapHaxion _{(talk / contribs)} 01:11, 27 June 2022 (UTC)

 Not done (not yet). This is a local copy of this high-use file for technical reasons. I understand you have an improvement to it. Please make your improvement at the source file (commons:File:Flag of Spain.svg) first, and once that is done reopen this edit request and ask that we sync our local copy with the master copy on commons. @Xaosflux: I have attempted to do so, although the file is protected, and a protected edit request has been outstanding (similar to other flags on Commons) on the matter since September of 2021 with no response given/action taken. HapHaxion _{(talk / contribs)} 13:42, 27 June 2022 (UTC)

@HapHaxion that's something you will need to deal with their, we normally don't shadow file at all - and we certainly don't want a different version here than at commons under the same filename. Perhaps a request at commons:Commons:Administrators' noticeboard will help? You can refer them to this thread as well. — xaosflux ^Talk 14:12, 27 June 2022 (UTC)

 Not done @HapHaxion: that still isn't a reason for enwiki to fork this file to a different file. We only even have this file for certain technical reasons. Now, content wise: if commons wiki refuses a reupload on this, then a new file could be chosen, we can mirror that, and our templates etc can point to the new file. — xaosflux ^Talk 14:49, 19 July 2022 (UTC)
